People of Thaedros

Orcs

Diverse peoples united by resilience and the drive to carve order from chaos, each following their own path to shape Thaedros.

Orcs

The Orcs of Thaedros are as diverse as the lands they once ruled, yet they share an unshakable resilience—a drive to carve order from chaos and shape the world to their will. In Encara, orcs built cities that stood for centuries, forged empires that stretched across continents, and nurtured traditions as deep as the roots of the oldest trees. They were warriors, scholars, artisans, and shamans, bound not by blood but by purpose. Strength, to an orc, is not simply power—it is the ability to endure, to build, to shape the world rather than be shaped by it.

This belief has only strengthened since the Diaspora, as orcs of all nations fight to claim their place in Thaedros. For some, survival is the mission. For others, it is conquest, or knowledge, or understanding. Where others see a broken world of untamed magic, the orcs see a land waiting to be claimed, tamed, and transformed.

And yet, they are not united. Unlike the dwarves, who have built alliances, or the elves, who seek to weave themselves into the currents of this world, the orcs remain divided. The Kaldjari rebuild their empire with discipline and industry. The Ruhndrogha seek the lost spirits of the land, believing that true survival lies in understanding its will. The Majaatu view this world as a challenge to be unraveled, a puzzle of alchemy and knowledge waiting for them to master it. Each follows their own path, certain only of their own way forward.

What is undeniable, however, is that orcs shape the world they inhabit. The ruins of Encara bear their mark. The lands of Thaedros will as well. And no matter what future this world holds, there is no doubt that the orcs will claim their place within it—whether by the strength of their arms, the depth of their wisdom, or the fire of their ambition.
