Born from the silent killers of Galphane's army, the Mustroga were once shadows on the battlefield—assassins and infiltrators who left no trace but the bodies in their wake. Forged from the stock of ferrets, weasels, and stoats, they excelled at moving unseen, slipping into enemy encampments under cover of darkness to cut the heart from opposing forces.
Once the assassins and scouts of Galphane's army, the Mustroga are made from a stock of ferrets, stoats, and weasels. They can go where others cannot, moving with near invisibility and in disquieting silence. They were a terror on the battlefield, slipping into enemy encampments at night to slit throats and leave the enemy forces devoid of command. They were also known to visit dissenters among Galphane's court, and rabble rousers among the common folk.
Though the Genet have long since left war behind, the Mustroga have never truly abandoned their ways. Even in peace, they remain the quiet sentinels of their people, eliminating threats before they ever take shape. They are watchers, spies, and, when necessary, executioners. Among the Genet, they are both respected and feared—not because they are cruel, but because they are inevitable.
Clan Mustroga had the most difficult time transitioning to peace, and never truly made the turn. They are the quiet, vigilant shadow of the Genet, still intent on seeking out threats to their people and eliminating them quietly in the night. As such, there are more Mustroga among the other races than any other Genet clan—usually working as spies. They have flourished in Thaedros, able to slip in and out of unreachable places to report back. Many lives have been saved by Mustroga scouts. And many potential enemies of the Genet have found themselves stepping into field 'accidents' after receiving slightly abridged intelligence from one of them.
Since arriving on Thaedros, the Mustroga have flourished. In a world filled with danger, there is always a need for those who can move unseen. They slip in and out of impossible places, delivering intelligence, sabotaging threats, and ensuring the Genet's continued survival. They are ghosts of the wilds, phantoms in the cities, and the secret knife that ensures their people remain free.
